Ad Shift

Yes I am doing Exactly what this video talks about by sharing this with you. Go Figure.

Sleep - Less

I am not sure if Sleeping less at night is a good or bad thing. At the moment I have noticed for a least a few months I don't really sleep through the night. I have my thoughts on it, but for the most part I don't seem to keep normal hours (don't really have to) and my head if filled with so many ideas and plans, it seems best sometimes to just get up and do or be, then lay down grasping at a sleep that seems to never come. That is until dawn, then I seem all to ready for my bed. Go figure. Well is a man with Vision, Inspiration, and Passion sleeps less, but lives more I can deal with that. The lack of sleep doesn't seem to keep me from dreaming.

Witness

"Everyone who doubted me is asking for forgiveness. If you weren't a part of it at least you got to witness."

Songs seem to mean more to me these days. Lyrics take on new meaning, when you find your true purpose. The move you more, inspire you, reinforces something deeper in you that resonates with the words, emotion or thoughts of a fellow traveler.

In the end only one of us can be right, and since I finish what I start, I guess we know who that will be...

I Heart NYC

Planning a trip to NYC. "These streets will make you feel brand new. These lights will inspire you." Where will you be when the ball drops to user in 2012? If you are part of my crew and have achieved a significant level of success you'll be joining me in New York City to ring in the New Year in Style in probably one of the best places in the Nation to do just that Times Square. The idea was birthed from the realization that radical shifts are about to happen in the market place and my business in the next two years, and the fact that NYC has been calling out to me for weeks if not months. So before we take a bite out of the Big Apple we have a lot of work to do. While the economy drops like the ball at midnight we will seek out new opportunities and find the bright spots in the this changing world. Technology, "Green", Anti-Aging, Health/Wellness, Internet Apps, Online Shopping, and other growing areas will give up their goods for our benefit as we capitalize on change instead of run from it. Very excited about the trip, but figure, "If we can make it there, we can make it anywhere."

So our Next Trip will not be domestic....

Laptop Crashed

I am overjoyed to announce that my laptop crashed on me this past week. You don't really value technology until you don't have access to your email or the internet in general. It's not fun, but to a degree it's freeing after all we can spend a lot of our free time bloggging, tweeting, and updating our profiles only to realize that we didn't do as much living that week as we hoped we might.
Lucky for me most of my files were backed up ( my back up drives have crashed on me a few times before too) so I have most of the video, pictures and files that matter most but I am pretty sure I am out of luck on a few things.
And what about the software I downloaded to my Laptop from the Internet, while I am doing that again with my loaner laptop and hoping I don't get stuck on any key projects.

So Yay for Techology, and I would rather we 'with it" then 'without" but like most things in life there are two sides to any sad laptop story.

Health & Wellness

I used to be a little bit chubby as a kid. I don't think I was ever meant to be to be honest, my frame is pretty small to begin with but my Mom's cooking was so good I developed a skill for 'speed eating' I could throw down seconds and thirds before that 'full feeling' kicked it. Needless today by middle school I had a bit of a tummy and didn't much like it. I started jumping around the house to music, my own version of aerobics and eating a little less.
By my sophomore year of High School I started weight training, and joined the wrestling team. To be honest if I could think of one significant moment in my high school career it was that. I learned about dedication, and hard work on a level I had never experienced before as I was mentored by men that had trained state and national champions. I actually got pretty good but decided to pursue my dreams in acting and modeling in stead of sports so by my junior year I was doing TV and left the wrestling mat for good. I did however get to take with me some of the lessons I learned and along the way I've picked up some new ones. Here's a few things I think might help anyone looking to feel their best.

1. Eating often. I truly believe giving your body smaller meals throughout the day really works. healthy snacks between meals can actually help keep your metabolism going, verses loading up on just one or two meals each day. Food is fuel and to keep your body burning calories having some fruit, nuts, or a snack bar to nibble on as you make it happen each day is really a smart move.

2. Hydration. Most people don't drink enough water. They are saying you may not need 8 glasses of water since we drink so many other liquid throughout the day. The problem with that theory is that we are often drinking coffee, or soda with caffeine and other factors that aren't maximizing your hydration. Not all liquids are created equal. A premium water is going to be your best source. It should be purified, re-mineralized, and if you can get an oxygen rich product with a goo Ph balance like Perfect Water you will be really set.

3. Weight Training. I personally see a lot of people skip this one when it could make all the difference in how they look and feel. I've seen people spend hours on the treadmill but they never pick up a weight. I get it, you have to struggle and strain when you lift weights, and you will probably look silly doing it when you start (I know I did) but you can't train your body to be better doing the same things over and over. Pushing yourself and your body is a huge part of success. I'll blog more about this subject I am still learning a lot in this area. I work out different muscle groups each day I work out in the gym and try to really push myself, all I can say is I've seen some good improvements and I am probably in the best shape of my life.

4. Cardio. Okay I will be honest, I am not the biggest fan of cardio but it is very important to get your heart rate up. It helps you burn fat and stay fit on many levels so... yippee! I do like it when my endorphins kick it, but before that I am probably not smiling too much. I do treadmill, lower impact on my joints but still a good run even though personally I do like to hit the street. I do some bike, elliptical, and trying to swim more.

5. Supplements. I honestly am about natural and organic supps. Anyone that knows me knows I use Nutrilite Supplements because they are organic and a world leader in science and research. I also like the fact that I am not putting a lot of chemicals in my body. I may not grow as fast as some other lifters but I figure I'll end up looking better and living longer in the end. Just my theory. Six Favorites from Nutrilite: Double X (multi-vitamin & phytonutrient), Twist Tubes (liquid vitamins you add to water), Rhodiolla 110 (Pre-workout supplement), Nutrilite® Siberian EnerG (great energy boost), Nutrilite® Carb Blocker 2 (Block up to 500 calories per meal), Nutrilite® Slimmetry™ Dietary Supplement (helps with weight loss).
Of course each person's body is different but I've seen great results with these supps.

Give a Little

With David Etherly at For Alec - Fashion Event

Recently I was able to go back stage at a very special fashion show. This one had the bright lights and well dressed crowds of a typical fashion event but this time it was about something bigger then the latest trends this season or freshest fashions. It was for a cause, and everyone involved got to do their part to make a difference in the life of a special boy and a wonderful local family rocked by illness and hospital bills. My Mother is a breast cancer survivor so I can relate to the fear, pain and sadness this family was experiencing, but for two members of the family (the mother and son) to both be rocked by cancer at the same time is particularly ruff.
My prayers and best thoughts go out to them.

Monetize your Myspace

Over the last year I've been showing new contacts and close friends how to monetize their Facebook or Myspace profile by leveraging their connections and influence in the marketplace a lot like a recording artists or film star might capitalize on their fanbase. Today in a digital age we all have a following and it's time we get paid for it. More tractable and traceable then ever before more and more people are realizing their social net worth and the list of examples grows daily.

Take SuperMac18 a YouTube personality with over 100,000 plus subscribers that following this young video-grapher on his two channels. Featured on Nick News his ad revenue share with Google allow him to pocket around 3 grand each month that his parents are placing in a nice college fund for him. After all what would a 14 year old really do with all that liquid cash flow?
And then ask yourself what a teenager without a college degree knows that some people still fail to see, that the Internet has changed all the rules and giving opportunities not to the rich, old, or even the educated but to those willing to seize them.
Now go make a silly video.

Back on the Blog

I have posted on several other sites in the past but felt a more official blog would be a good idea. I'll update this site regularly as well as work with other members of my staff and support teams to keep the latest updates, photos and info out there.
From You Tube to Twitter I try to share my life with the world. Not because I think it is really all that interesting but because we only live once and this can act as a journal of lessons learned, a drafting station for future place and a glimpse at the ever elusive "now" we all seem to be chasing.
